The ground rules for using GCSE App — kept as short as a legal page reasonably can be.
By downloading, installing, or using GCSE App, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you.
GCSE App is a revision tool for GCSE students, providing flashcards, quizzes, and study games built around exam board specifications. It's designed to support your revision — it is not a substitute for your school's teaching, textbooks, or your teachers' guidance, and we can't guarantee any particular exam result from using it.
Some topics are free to use. Others are marked as premium and require a one-time in-app purchase to unlock, processed entirely through Google Play Billing. Once purchased, premium access is tied to your Google Play account on that device, in line with Google Play's own purchase and refund policies — refund requests should go through Google Play, not to us directly, since we never receive or hold your payment details.
Use GCSE App for your own personal revision. You agree not to:
We write GCSE App's content to match the relevant exam board's published specification as closely as we can, and review it for accuracy. Exam board specifications and mark schemes can change, and we may not always reflect an update immediately — always check your exam board's official specification for anything you're unsure about, especially close to exams.
The app's content — flashcard text, explanations, and questions — is original material written for GCSE App and is our intellectual property (or used under appropriate licence, as credited where diagrams are sourced from Wikimedia Commons). The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by AQA or any other exam board; specification topic names are used descriptively, to identify what the content covers.
GCSE App is provided "as is." While we take care to keep content accurate and the app working reliably, we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that using it will lead to any particular grade or outcome.
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't legally be excluded.
We may update these terms as the app evolves — for example, when new subjects or features are added. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
